Pelosi: 10,000 letters = Impeach!

Wed Nov 14, 2007 at 10:39:55 AM PDT

To get Cheney's impeachment back on the table. If Nancy Pelosi receives 10,000 hand written letters, according to this story, she will move to put it back where it belongs. Urban legend?
I do not know. It's a small amount of effort on our part. Where did I put that stationary with little chickadees on it?

Freep and the mysterious Pelosi offer.

According to this Freep report, Nancy Pelosi has offered us a way to

get

House Resolution 333 for the impeachment of Vice President Dick Cheney,

back on the table. However, the requirements are mysterious indeed.

"Hand-written notes?"
"Snail mail?"

What are these things of which she speaks? Oh, I remember them,

vaguely. They belong to a different time, where letters are carefully

constructed with a graphite writing tool or something called an "ink

pen." Jam your tongue firmly in the side of your mouth, lean over a

piece of "paper" (actually mulched trees) and craft your request that

the Cheney impeachment get back on the table.

Oral Roberts needed $5 million dollars or God was gonna call him home.

Nancy Pelosi needs 10,000 handwritten letters to send Cheney home.
Cindy Sheehan has made the offer to tally these missives:

"Dear Friends

Instead of sending your impeachment letters for Dick Cheney to Nancy

Pelosi's office, send them to my office so we can get an official

count.

Please send them to:
Cindy for Congress
RE: Impeach Dick Cheney
1260 Mission Blvd
San Francisco, Ca 94103

Please pass this around and have them sent by Friday, November 16th and

we will have them delivered to her office in San Francisco before

Thanksgiving."

So, there it is. The offer is on the table. Time to dig through the

drawers and kid's pencil boxes for writing utensils. It's a blast from

the past that may lead to a blast in the future. Figuratively speaking,

of course.
