"... its not even a practical question." Jenna Bush

Thu Oct 11, 2007 at 10:41:23 AM PDT

Huh, what are you saying? This is part of the answer provided by First Twin Jenna during a question and answer session that she participated in, apparently regarding the book she just wrote.  But someone asked a question on a different subject - Iraq.

Blackwater - Baby melted to mother's chest

Wed Sep 19, 2007 at 08:43:37 AM PDT

This Blackwater fiasco is threatening to get very messy.  Reports today by Juan Cole and TPM are starting to shed some light on this, and it isn't pretty.

O'Reilly - Dead mothers to blame for their deaths

Thu Jun 28, 2007 at 10:21:07 AM PDT

I know, the outrage meter with Bill-O has reached its limit, but he may have outdone himself this time. Wrestler Benoit's wife and the Ohio women killed by her police officer boyfriend are to blame for their deaths, not their husbands/boyfriend, because they knew they were bad guys, according to Bill-O. Warning: if you are eating, don't read further.

Republicans Can Do Good-Burton Calls Out NBC On Autism Report

Fri Jun 22, 2007 at 09:26:02 AM PDT

Thats right.  This is no joke.  Republican Dan Burton of Indiana has actually done something positive on behalf of the American people, namely families dealing with the epidemic of autism.  Is there hope for our country yet?

Rightwing beatdown - Hugh Hewitt gets destroyed by Gen. Odom

Fri Feb 23, 2007 at 11:12:25 AM PDT

I have seen and heard some serious beatdowns of rightwing idiots, but I have not seen anything like this.  Hewitt interviews Gen. Odom and throws every rightwing talking point/fantasy at Odom and he just destroys every last one of them.

NBC Refusing to Air Dixie Chicks ad

Fri Oct 27, 2006 at 09:30:16 AM PDT

Are these guys serious.  NBC is refusing to air the ad for the Chicks movie Shut Up and Sing because it is "disparaging to President Bush."

TPM - Safavian Indicted

Wed Oct 05, 2005 at 03:35:23 PM PDT

My head is spinning.  I can't keep track of all the indictments.  AP, it is up on Josh Marshall's site, is reporting Bush's procurement officer was indicted today.  If this is old news I apologize, but AP said the indictment was issued today.  The allegations are juicy.  Abramoff, Ellis, the whole crew are involved.  Boy, is shit hitting the fan or what.  What or who is next?  Its got to be Rove.

Fox News Threatens Federal Judge

Fri Sep 30, 2005 at 02:59:20 PM PDT

Media Matters has the transcript of Fox News Military analysis Col. Hunt stating that the federal judge that ordered the release of the Abu Ghraib torture photos should be drawn and quartered.

I thought threatening federal judges is a crime.  If it is not it should be.  Living and practicing law in Chicago, I am all too familiar with the tragedy that occurred when a federal judge's family was murdered by someone whose threats were not taken seriously.

I do not want to sound like an alarmist, but I certainly hope Judge Hellerstein is not taking any chances and the federal marshalls are protecting him and his family.  Although I don't believe Col. Hunt would resort to violence, the ilk that listen to O'Reilly and Fox News in general I am not so sure of. This kind of inflamatory rhetoric should not be condoned.

Who should we contact to voice our concerns over this?  The FCC?  FBI?  Do we have any standing to report this activity?
